"Living through a global pandemic with a chronic illness, what is one piece of inspirational advice that you would give to other students with CF who are in the same or similar position?"
Having a chronic illness like Cystic Fibrosis is hard enough to live with, let alone trying to survive a global pandemic. My advice is to take everyday one step at a time. You will not believe how far I've gotten by just taking baby steps each day, as long as you are moving forward how far you get in one day doesn't matter. I would also advise finding the bright side, for example because I am at risk I had to stay home and do online school. Since I wasn't allowed out of the house I decided to take my school very seriously and ended up with enough credits to graduate early. I have been told multiple times I wouldn't get very far in school due to all of my absences thanks to CF, but now I am preparing to graduate a whole year early at the top of my class. Its important to not focus on what Cystic Fibrosis has taken away from all of us, but to focus on what it has given us, even if it is something small like finding amazing health care workers, or something as big as the opportunity to graduate early.
