"2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the AbbVie CF Scholarship. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing to recognize more students pursing their educational goals. Please share your future ambitions in the Cystic Fibrosis community, professionally and personally."
After I complete my final year of college, I plan to become an elementary school teacher. I would like to return to my hometown where I graduated from and start my teaching career there. My school has done so much for me over the years. I feel that the only way to give back to them for all that they did for me is to make an impact on the future generations of students to come. After some years of teaching, I plan to go back to school to receive my master’s degree and become a school principal. I feel that this best suits me and my future aspirations. I am also entering my final season of football at Franklin College. I developed a love for football at an early age and that love has only grown since then. Throughout my years of playing football, I have learned so much. I plan to use those past experiences and knowledge to become a football coach at my local school as well. I want to help players learn and develop to become the best players they can be, just as my coaches did for me. The thing that I am most excited about is the journey ahead of me. I can’t wait to buy my first house, get married, and start my own family. My plan to reach my goals is to strive to become a better version of myself every day. Whether it be that I learn something new, that I become a stronger and healthier version of me through exercising, or that I work to grow stronger in my faith. I want to inspire others with cystic fibrosis and show them what you can do with the right mentality and outlook on your life. Cystic Fibrosis is a part of my life, but it will not keep me from becoming who I want to be and achieving the goals that I have set for myself.
